Residential Pool Service Agreement
The Service Department hours are M-F 8am-4pm. On-call Saturdays are 9am-2pm (May thru Sept).
JOHNSON POOL & SPA’S RESPONSIBILITIES
We will provide pool and/or spa service on a weekly basis, except the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas. There is no credit given for these two weeks. If the service day falls on another holiday, we will perform service that day, the previous day, or the following day. If the service day falls on a rainy day, we will perform as many tasks as possible and also check all electrical connections and set up cover pumps.
We will test and balance the water chemistry. This includes all necessary chemicals to balance pH, Total Alkalinity, Calcium Hardness, Chlorine, and Conditioner. Portable spa chemicals, Stain & Scale Preventative, Clarifiers, Algaecides, Tile Cleaner, and specialty chemicals are an additional charge.
We will empty all bags, screens and baskets on a weekly basis or as needed.
We will track the filter pressure or flow rate and backwash the filter when needed. Backwashing is included with the service at no additional charge.
We will brush the walls and steps of the pool and net the top and floor weekly.
Parts, chemicals, or materials under $80 will be provided without notification unless other arrangements are made. We track the last filter clean date and pressure to determine when this is needed, and will perform the filter clean and lube at an extra charge of $150 without notification two times per year (Sand filters and cartridge filters under 200 sq. ft. do not apply). These charges will appear on the next invoice. If a portable spa is serviced with the pool, the every 4 month draining and re-filling will be performed without notice, and an extra charge of $175 will appear on the next invoice.
Our Repair service call fee is $145, and our hourly rate after the first hour is $145 per hour.
​OWNER’S RESPONSIBILITIES
For pools without an auto fill device, please keep water at middle of waterline tile. When adding water, we suggest setting an egg timer as a reminder to turn it off.
Please have manual cover removed for service (Bubble type covers only).
Please keep vegetation trimmed away from pool and pool equipment.
Please keep a brush, net, and telepole available for our Technician to perform their duties.
Run filter system for at least one pool turnover per day in summer and at least half pool turnover in winter.
Repair or replace broken or damaged pool equipment. Keep all gates in good working condition.
Billing will occur at the end of the month and is past due after 30 days. A $15 late fee will be applied to invoices past due.
Cancellation of this service agreement must be made in writing and can be effective immediately.

Since pool plaster is composed of natural materials which have certain inherent characteristics, application markings, shading or color variation is a natural occurrence which should NOT be construed as a defect. The shade and color will vary and fade over time. The plaster may become spotted, streaked, blotchy, appear scratched, or have a mottled appearance, over which routine pool service has no control. —
